Sixth Form Admissions

Entry Requirements

Students should normally satisfy the following criteria:

  • 6 GCSE passes (grades A*-B) including English, Mathematics, a Science and a Modern Foreign Language.
  • GCSE grade A/B in the chosen AS/A2 Level subjects where appropriate.

Entry into the Sixth Form is dependent on subject choices, interview and GCSE results.

Course Information

A 'Welcome to the Sixth Form' information pack detailing all the courses on offer is available from the Registrar.

All girls will be expected to study 4 subjects at AS Level in Year 12 (not counting General Studies), choosing to continue with 3/4 subjects at A2 Level in Year 13 to make full A Levels. A fifth subject may be taken if the timetable permits.

Key skills are delivered through the General Studies programme.

Application Process

To apply for a place, please complete an Application Form and return it to the Registrar, Mrs J Bedigan, together with a fee for administration of £50.00. Once this has been received, students will be invited to attend an interview with the Head of 6th Form and the Headmistress to discuss subject option choices.

Offers made after interview are provisional, subject to the student gaining the required GCSE results.
