Parents and Friends Association

The Parents and Friends Association in conjunction with the school staff aim to enhance both the educational and social development of pupils throughout the whole of the school. We do this by providing additional resources to support all aspects of the school curriculum.

Each year we raise money by organising a wide range of fund raising activities. Currently our Christmas Fair is our largest fund raising event and we are always looking for new initiatives.

We run a 500 club where you are offered the opportunity to take part in 3 prize draws per annum to win a substantial cash prize, all for only £12 per year.

We also run a second hand uniform shop.  We sell school uniform items on behalf of the parents and a percentage of the revenue goes to PFA funds.  The shop is in the junior school courtyard and opens on the last Thursday of each month during term time.  If you want to book an appointment for a full uniform fitting then please contact the uniform shop directly via the school switch board.

The PFA are organised by each school year being represented on the committee by one or more parent, ideally a minimum of one per class.  As well as taking part in the fund raising activities for the school as a whole they also arrange various social activities for the parents in their year group.  Helping new parents to find their feet is also a key concern, and we operate a buddy system to enable new parents to become familiar with school life.

We hope you will want to become involved with our PFA committee either as a member or a parent helper.  Your personal skills are very important to us, and I believe that is what makes our committee a strong success.

All forthcoming events are posted well in advance in the weekly junior school bulletin and for the seniors you can find the weekly bulletin called Contact on the AESG website or somewhere in your daughter's school bag.

On behalf of all the PFA members, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to you all and please feel free to call or email me, my contact details as well as your year representatives are in the school diary that you receive at the beginning of each term – we look forward to meeting you.  Thank you
