Gifted and Talented Pupils in the Junior School
Like all learners, gifted and talented children need frequent opportunities to apply their skills and understanding, and to develop their knowledge, within a secure and flexible working environment.
Our pupils are offered learning challenges and teaching approaches that meet their individual needs. This is achieved by assessing the learning styles of all our pupils, and ensuring that teaching and learning strategies are varied, and expectations are high, in order to allow all children, and especially the gifted and talented, to achieve their potential.
All achievements are valued and successes are celebrated daily within the classroom and each week during assemblies.
Gifted and Talented Workshops
Alderley Edge School for Girls runs a successful Gifted and Talented programme for our own Key Stage 2 children and surrounding primary schools. Several workshops, each with a different focus, are held each term. These popular events include ICT, Music, Science, Geography and Design Technology.
