Reception Class and Key Stage 1
The third year of the Foundation Stage is our Reception Class which is housed alongside Key Stage 1. Reception and Key Stage 1 provide the education for 4 - 7 year olds.
With one class per year group, each benefiting from a full time teaching assistant to support our experienced class teachers, the needs of the individual child are fully embraced.
Our approach combines a secure, happy and supportive learning environment in which children are able not only to achieve academically high standards, but also to grow as well rounded independent learners.
We foster a culture of integration throughout the Junior School, drawing upon the expertise of colleagues in the areas of French, Physical Education and Music. This approach allows a seamless transition from the early years of school through to the end of Key Stage 2 and beyond.
There is an open dialogue with parents with regard to the academic, social and personal development of the children and a welcoming, positive and professional approach is assured.
