Alderley Edge School Nursery AdmissionsOur School Nursery is part of the Foundation Stage of the Junior School, providing a structured curriculum for three and four year olds. In the School Nursery, the children are actively encouraged to learn through play and develop skills through a rich variety of experiences that will be built upon as they progress through the school. Nursery 1Children are able to join the Nursery at the beginning of the term in which they will be three years of age. Minimum attendance is three morning sessions or two full days each week. Nursery 2Nursery 2, which is open to pupils who are three plus and preparing for transition into Reception, is full time. A deposit of £200 is necessary to secure a place and this gives girls automatic access to the AESG Reception class. In the case of boys, the deposit of £200 will be refunded at the end of their time in Nursery. Although it is recommended that pupils attend on a full time basis by this stage, we recognise the needs of each individual. Reduced sessions can be negotiated although, unfortunately, without a reduction in fees. Application FormsTo register your child for a place at our Nursery please complete an application form and return it to the Registrar, Mrs J Bedigan, together with a fee for administration of £50.00. Please also complete a Nursery attendance form and return this at the same time if you require a place in Nursery 1. An Application Form and an Attendance Form can be downloaded here. They are also to be found enclosed with the School prospectus. After School CareWe offer after school care for children from the age of three years. This is available from 3.30 until 5.45pm at an additional cost. School HolidaysThe Nursery School has the same holiday timetable as the Junior and Senior Schools. |
